The revaluation of a brand story and value

With 145 years of artisan history, an iconic furniture collection from the hands of the founding fathers of Danish Design and a truly unique workshop with the best craftsmen in the country, Rud Rasmussen has the perfect platform to develop into the future. Rud Rasmussen is a raw diamond with a history alike far greater companies like Hermès and Louis Vuitton. Identical in legacy and tradition but minuscule in commercial performance and awareness.

Being recognised as the most exclusive provider of handcrafted design masterworks, it is important continuously promoting and developing a unique collection of past, present, and future masterworks based on the Danish design tradition, heritage, and crafts. However, the visual identity was out-of-sync, not expressing the brand authenticity.

The revival of a unique brand authenticity

LOOP Associates was assigned to help stop the devaluation of the brand. The assignment was to revive the unique story of Rud Rasmussen, strengthen the visual image, and express grand masters of Danish design.

This is what we have done:

Design of a colour palette to support Rud Rasmussen’s legacy and commitment to natural materials.

Redrawing of the logo in respect of the past as it is a substantial part of the legacy.

A new concept to showcase the furniture at its best and in the right settings is defined.

Design of an online sales and marketing platform, web shop, newsletter, catalogues, and image adverts in select international connoisseur media titles such as Monocle.

Design of a modern state-of-the-art web shop making Rud Rasmussen the most traditional and most modern design company at the same time.

Signage and store design to utilise physical store spaces as 3-dimensional adverts and storytellers.

Shaping the Danish furniture legacy

Today, these furniture classics, handcrafted for generations by Rud Rasmussen’s uncompromising artisans, remain modern and timeless, appealing as profoundly to contemporary audiences as they did to generations of the past.
